Our clamping systems have continually evolved with one of the latest being the Alien. Using a larger (3mm hex key) single bolt central to the clamp design, the Alien clamp head makes adjustment easier and faster.
Material: 7075 Aluminium – CNC machined with an anodised finish.
Size options available to suit all saddle rails.
Recommended bolt torque setting of 3.5Nm

Just upgraded to a Berthoud Aspin saddle and noticed that the centre section of the old-style 2-bolt clamp kit on my XCR Shockpost had developed a stress fracture in the centre section, which, to be fair, may have been due to overtorquing the bolts... Intending to replace the entire assembly with the single-bolt upgraded CACKBK7MM, I discovered that it's currently out of stock, so I phoned USE to get a lead time. However, as the part was not immediately available, I was offered a first-class free replacement of the centre section of my original clamp (which I believe was discontinued about 20 years-ago because some people were struggling with the fitting instructions...). Sincere thanks to USE for the outstanding service and particularly for confirming my faith that the values that put the "G" in GB are still there in some sections of the UK engineering community.
