The OLAS man overboard alarm system is designed for seamless integration into a vessel's power system or NMEA 2000 network. The OLAS receiver acts as a central hub, wirelessly connecting to OLAS transmitters worn by the skipper or crew. It continuously monitors their presence and proximity, ensuring constant vigilance.
In the event of a man overboard situation, the system immediately triggers an alert. The OLAS Guardian, integrated into the vessel's power system, activates an alarm on the Guardian hub and OLAS mobile app. It can also engage external MOB alert devices or disengage the autopilot for added safety.
The OLAS N2K system, powered by the vessel's NMEA 2000 system, offers the same features with the additional benefit of sending MOB messages and AIS Safety Broadcasts directly within the NMEA 2000 network, ensuring seamless communication and enhanced safety measures.
